Westfield Corporation is one of the world’s leading shopping centre companies with iconic retail destinations in London, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles among its portfolio of 34 centres. In 2015, 435 million customer visits to Westfield Corporation shopping centres generated $17 billion in retail sales.

The Challenge

In 2016 Westfield asked us to create a truly interactive and engaging digital Shareholder Review, it was special 12 months for Westfield including being voted as Fast Technology’s top 50 technology companies to watch in 2015. The website would need to showcase the opening of their world class Oculus flagship centre in New York on August 2016. They also wanted to highlight Westfield’s commitment to advanced retail research and cutting edge approach to digital retail technology.

The Strategy

Interactive Investor custom designed and developed a unique and innovative digital microsite for their 2016 Shareholder Review. The homepage of the website showcases Westfield’s stellar achievements and has the WOW factor with the corporate video created specifically for the homepage of the website. Coupled with the responsive and parallax website design and animations, it created a responsive online platform for showing their edge in digital technology and highlighting their achievements.

The Results

Westfield has been a long term client of Interactive Investor and each year has evolved their reporting to better reflect the growth of the global operations. The 2016 Shareholder Report shows Westfield is truly a global technology company positioned to continue to dominate in managing iconic global retail centres and lead the way in retail technology. The company was delighted with the results knowing the site provides shareholders and investors with strong messaging and an engaging experience that reflects their global success.
