Scentre Group manages, develops and has an ownership interest in the iconic Westfield branded shopping centres in Australia and New Zealand with retail real estate assets under management valued at over $40 billion and shopping centre ownership interests valued at over $29 billion.

The Challenge

Scentre Group has grown from strength to strength since its split as a separate listed entity from Westfield. In 2015 more than 560 million customer visits generated over $22 billion in retail sales across the Scentre Group properties. It has sought to raise its profile even further with the global investment community as it seeks to broaden its investor reach.

The Strategy

The parallax design of the microsite highlighted the key assets on the homepage together with the CEO video. Animated tables and charts throughout the report bring the numbers to life for investors in an engaging and interactive way. It was been created and developed to form a modular investor communication hub for quarterly earnings reports throughout the year.

The Results

The responsive microsite platform generated a high digital investor viewership with thousands accessing the report across PC, tablets and mobiles on its release. Scentre Group’s ongoing commitment to investor communications was recognised by Bank of New York Mellon Award for Best International Investor Relations by an Australian company in 2015 as well as NASDAQ award for Most Progress in IR by an Australian company.
